  1. I see threads like that one all the time. What's so special about it?
  2. My title got cut off, but here's the question: In a true capitalist system where all property is privately owned, who would be the owner of structures such as the Great Wall of China, the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Colosseum in Rome, Stonehenge, the Taj Mahal, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, etc., and how would anyone get hold of them?
  3. I don't see anyone here commenting on this issue. I never took this group seriously, and I think they are doing more harm then good. DDoSing the FBI was an incredibly stupid idea, I think. They aren't doing anything impressive, more like the equivalent of pooping on the White House. I don't recall Ayn Rand saying when was it appropiate to go on protests, but this could perfectly be equated to an act of cyber-terror, and I just don't see how this is an effective tactic. It's not like they're going to trace the attackers, but now they can wave the threat of these internet people at the general populace, passing more Bills and restrictions out of fear of what these people can do. I doubt that taking down the front page of a website for an hour will make any politician fear anything, but now "Anonymous" are demanding the disbanding of the WIPO and the removal of the DMCA's registration requirements under the "Safe Harbor" provision, and they may now be very easily labelled as a terrorist organization. This "internet intimidation" will only force politicians to adopt an even more hardline stance against what they consider piracy and freedom on the internet.
  4. I believe this is one, if not the last of his public appearances. It breaks my heart to see him like that. You can tell how thin and frail he was looking at 4:22. It's so depressing to see how someone you so regarded as strong and "invincible" going through a thing like this. *Manly tears*
  5. Well, then I guess that these people who do like having a messy and disorganized forum with unnecessary and redundant threads, giving the moderators and other users like me, who do use the search function, a really hard time organizing and looking through a myriad of reiterative and duplicated threads, just as long as the newcomers, who didn't even bother to read the forum rules, get their special treat, need to rethink about the consequences of their oh so kindhearted flexibility to oher people in this forum.
  6. What a refreshing thread. This topic has never been discussed here.

  8. Uh... You can try here. I know it's from the 4AynRandFans forum, but it has some posts where Swinburne gets mentioned. I didn't read them, but at least they're not yours, so maybe... BTW, you should change the title of your thread, so other people don't come here expecting an actual argument for God, like I did.
  9. Can you switch the title of the thread for the subtitle? That way I may be able to find this thread in the future when I search for "self-interest versus rights" using the search function, instead of trying to remember you decided to call it "I don't get it."
