Capitalism Forever
http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/common/st...3^24217,00.html A HOSPITAL in Britain has stopped visitors cooing at other people's newborn babies for fear of trampling over the youngsters' human rights. [...]Hospital neo-natal manager Debbie Lawson said even babies had a right to privacy. This is what happens when you get rights wrong. Pancho Villa
Hey, if rights are made to seem as ridiculous as this, who is going to object when they're all taken away? Oh well, they'll get what they deserve. The only problem is that I might get what they deserve, too.
JMeganSnow
Being touched a lot is actually good for newborns, it helps speed development. In environments where infants don't get a lot of physical affection (such as in orphanages with overworked staff) they can actually sicken and die. Besides, children that can't even focus their eyes enough yet to distinguish blobs of color from one another aren't going to care either way about people staring at them through a window. Sheesh. Yeah, you are quite correct Megan. I have also heard that babies can benefit from being touched etc, from human contact. And it is logical enough if you think about it. I also doubt that babies whom A) as you say cannot see that well and Dont really understand what privacy is , really care if a few people stare at them. to them they are just blobs of colour. Im sure they dont really care about blobs of colour, or think about them. As long as the people do not act aggressively, I doubt the baby cares if 1000 people stare at them. Anyway, the right to privacy is something that belongs to those with more developed minds, mind that understand what hell privacy is...
