Has anyone seen Michael Jackson's ghost?

Seriously, there's a video floating around of a "ghost" appearing in broad daylight at the Neverland compund on Larry King. Google "Michael Jackson ghost" and look under video results.

I was underwhelmed. As far as I can tell a vaguely man-shaped shadow moves in the background briefly. Given it was daytime and there were also TV lights, it could be literally anything: a moving light, a moving object, an area with less light (which might look shadowy on TV). Given the lack of a furor over it, I assume even die-hard mystics were underwhelmed as well.

No, but on Good Morning America they interviewed his dermatologist. Gee, do you think the media are going a bit overboard at this point?

Actually things aren't quite going as usual. By now we should be reading of suicides and/or attempted suicides by deeply distraught fans. There should be a dozen outlandish theories about how Jackson died or was killed. There should be infighting among the heirs, presumtive heirs, etc. And the networks should have interviewed nearly all of Jackson's domestic employees. Oh, and at least two outlandish theories on how he's still alive and faked his death (or went home, he was in that movie).

Haven't you seen the interviews of people claiming the media and public are responsible for his death because they put too much "psychological pressure" on him by spreading too many "irresponsible lies" about him? Already numerous times I've seen guests on CNN stealthily calling for control of the media.

Sure, but that is proforma every time a celebrity dies young. People said the same things, albeit even more strongly, when Diana Spencer died. With more reason, too, seeing as the media, as represented by the tabloid press, was chasing her car. I also dimly remember similar sentiments about "pressure" expressed when Kurt Cobain killed himself. I wouldn't be surprised if the same things were said when Elvis died.

Has anyone seen Michael Jackson's ghost?

No, but on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory, they had an idiot "channeling" his spirit from the other side. :)

I laughed my a$$ off. Almost as entertaining as watching TV evangelists.

Yes. He asked me to tell everyone that the Rev. Sharpton was never his friend, he's just a leach who's being allowed to marry himself to this story, even though his only connection to it is the color of his skin. Yep, Mike was black again, in the afterlife.

Enter Liberal Mode:

But race is all that matters! How else are you going to judge people? By the content of their character? What kind of Diversity would that yield?

And it's African American! You're being racist and Offensive!

Exit Liberal Mode.

I heard that the term changed from African American to Black American since the first term was confusing with Caucasian Africans. Tribal mentalities are needlessly complicated.

Still has the whole "what if they're from Britain or anywhere non-US?" counter-argument going. Just shorten it to "Black"? :P

There was a bit on SNL not too long ago where some cast member convinces host Charlize Theron she's African-American because she was born in South Africa. I think she then proceeds to feel opressed.

This Jewish guy told me he was of Asian decent, because his ancestors are from Israel, which is in Asia. So, Jews are Asians.

Well here's one I pulled on David Brudnoy:

They recently isolated the first human (no joke) via blood genetics about 15-20 years ago. She lived in Africa. Since we're all decended from her, that makes me an African-American.

I am in fact, part (Canadian) Indian. When I tell people that, I often get asked which tribe, to which I say "The tribe that owns all the casinos: the Ouannagetchamunni"

Did anyone hear the tape of the 911 call that Jackson placed when he started to feel a little bit light-headed? Apparently he said: "I'm not feeling well. Please take me to the childrens' hospital."

Ding Ding Ding. Congratulations Sir, you are the winner of our one billionth Mj-pedophile joke contest.

In his podcast, Episode 70 (recorded on the 8th of July), to be released on Monday (July 13th), Dr. Peikoff responds to the question: What is the proper response to the death of Michael Jackson? (Response starts at about 3:50 into the podcast.)

I am so very happy that a Leonard Peikoff spoke up so strongly and appropriately in regards to Michael Jackson's death. I was really getting sick to my stomache at many of the remarks here on this forum, and was beginning to think that the atmosphere here was quite non-objective.

What did he say that contradicts what specific contents of this thread?

What I got out of it is that Peikoff is not interested in the slightes in MJ's brand of music, so there's nothing for him to care about. As for Michael's character, that is defined by his life and actions, not by his music, and it was quite twisted.

The only thing Peikoff said that was favorable to your position is that you should separate an artist's work from his life or actions, and mourn the loss of that work, if it meant something to you. I don't think anyone here told you you can't do that, all I said is that I personally don't care, because I wasn't into his music, and that you can't judge his character by dismissing his actual life, based on music: as Dr. Peikoff pointed out, there are plenty of geniuses and great artists in history who's character, in person, was quite despicable.

I think what I said was pretty much mirrored by what Peikoff said. Did you read this thread?
